Prayer Chain
What is the St. Paul Email Prayer Chain?
St. Paul's email prayer chain is a Yahoo group that provides our members with another way to bring their joys and concerns to our loving Lord. In 1 John 5:14, we are told, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us." Also, in Philippians 4:6 we are told, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Why Do We Have a Prayer Chain?
It is the belief of some that God is more likely to hear the prayers of many than the prayers of a single person. However, Christians know and trust that God hears all the prayers of His believing children, whether they are lifted up by one person or 1000, and answers them in the way He knows is best. In fact, God knows our needs even before we come to Him in prayer. However, we at St. Paul have a prayer chain so that we might build one another up in our community of faith, and learn to "be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer" (Romans 12:12). What better way to express our love for our brothers and sisters in Christ than to keep them in our prayers!
How Do I Join?
Any member of St. Paul is welcome to join the prayer chain. Subscribe by putting your email address into the box below and clicking the 'Join Now' button. Once you are subscribed, you will receive email messages with requests from the group and may submit your own requests. Prayer requests are received by the group moderator who in turn sends them out to the group, usually within a few hours. In addition to prayer requests we welcome and encourage our members to update the group on our requests so that we can keep our prayers up to date.
