While the purpose, personnel, and programs of St. Paul Lutheran School are centered on the task of assisting the families and membership of St. Paul Lutheran Church in educating their young, we also recognize our mission and privilege to serve the entire Austin community. Therefore, all families are invited to enroll their children, realizing that enrollment is based on Christian attitudes, academic ability, health, deportment, and established age requirements. St. Paul Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, or national or ethnic origin to all the rights privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. |

REGISTRATION/RE-ENROLLMENT FEES
Registration/re-enrollment fees will be set and due in early spring. Forms for re-enrollment will be sent out in January.
St. Paul Lutheran School recognizes that payment of registration fees is a family commitment for attendance of the child for a new school year. All necessary books and supplies will be ordered in anticipation of the child's attendance. Thus, no refund will be made to a family for withdrawal of enrollment.
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FEE
In an effort to assist St. Paul Church in maintaining the school facilities, the School Board established this special fee as an individual family assessment. The fee is $325 for the 2008-2009 school year for each school family. Payment is due by September 1 of the academic year. |

Financial Support and Tuition |
|
The costs for educating children in all grade levels are primarily met in one of two ways:
A) Children of St. Paul Lutheran Church member families have part of their tuition costs paid for them by the total membership of the congregation. Thus, all members of the congregation, whether they have children enrolled or not, lend financial support to the school because the annual budget requirements for the school's operation are included as part of the total congregational responsibilities. However, church member families with enrolled children pay a minimum monthly tuition payment and are to be faithful in their church attendance and generous contributors in their weekly offerings, realizing that St. Paul Lutheran Church has taken on a sizable responsibility in sponsoring a school. An increase in church support to the operations of the school often hinders the other ministries sponsored by the congregation.
B) Children whose families are not members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, pay tuition reflecting the approximate cost of educating a child at St. Paul. This tuition fee does not reflect building costs and related expenses as these costs are borne by the congregation as an indication of their support of Christian education. Annually these fees are established after careful examination of the operational costs. The yearly tuition fees may be paid in full or made in ten installments from August 1 through the first of May. |
